Carmarthenshire
is largely agricultural, with fine sandy beaches along the coast and the
Black Mountains to the east. The county is home to the National Botanic
Garden of Wales.

newly formed county of Ceredigion was historically known as Cardiganshire.
The county includes the Dyfi and Cors Caron National Nature Reserves,
and some splendid scenery.

Pembrokeshire
is renowned for its beautiful and indented coastline, much of which has
been designated as the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.

The
relatively new county of Powys is the largest in Wales. It is mainly agricultural
and features some spectacular mountains and moorland. Part of it lies
in the Brecon Beacons National Park.
