historically important area, Berkshire lies to the west of London on a
ridge of chalk downs and includes the famous Windsor Castle, and the important
county town of Reading.

Forest and the Sussex Downs, both Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty,
can be found in East Sussex. The county is mainly rural, but is more urbanised
along the coast.

Hampshire is an agricultural county situated on rolling chalk downs, and
is home to the New Forest National Park. The ancient ports of Southampton
and Portsmouth can be found on the south coast, with Winchester further
inland.

Historic
Kent, the "Garden of England" is located on a chalk ridge of
the North Downs, dotted with castles and ports it is an important religious
and transport centre southeast of London.

largely agricultural county within close proximity to London, Surrey has
some fine countryside, and the Surrey Hills are an Area of Outstanding
Natural Beauty.

Chichester
harbour, the High Weald and the Sussex Downs have been designated as Areas
of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The county is wooded and urbanised along
the coast.
